Pytanie zależne przestaje być pytaniem: szyk jak w zdaniu oznajmującym, bez do/does/did. Polecenia relacjonujesz przez „to + bezokolicznik”.

Czasowniki raportujące
+ osoba + to: advise, remind, warn, invite. + -ing: suggest, admit, deny. + to: offer, promise, refuse, agree.
Przykłady
“Where do you live?” → He asked where I lived.
„Gdzie mieszkasz?” → Zapytał, gdzie mieszkam.
“Are you coming?” → She asked if I was coming.
„Przychodzisz?” → Zapytała, czy przychodzę.
“Close the door.” → She told him to close the door.
„Zamknij drzwi.” → Kazała mu zamknąć drzwi.
“Don't be late.” → He told us not to be late.
„Nie spóźnijcie się.” → Powiedział nam, żebyśmy się nie spóźnili.
“Could you send me the file?” → She asked me to send her the file.
„Mógłbyś wysłać mi plik?” → Poprosiła, żebym wysłał jej plik.
“Let's postpone it.” → He suggested postponing it.
„Przełóżmy to.” → Zasugerował przełożenie tego.
“I'll pay.” → She offered to pay.
„Zapłacę.” → Zaproponowała, że zapłaci.
“Don't touch it!” → He warned me not to touch it.
„Nie dotykaj!” → Ostrzegł mnie, żebym tego nie dotykał.

Mógłby mi pan powiedzieć, gdzie jest dworzec? (uprzejme pytanie pośrednie — ten sam szyk!)

Typowe błędy

W pytaniu zależnym nie ma inwersji ani „did”.
She asked me that I was hungry.
She asked me if I was hungry.
Pytanie tak/nie → if / whether.
He suggested to go.
He suggested going.
suggest + -ing.
She told me don't worry.
She told me not to worry.
