Przeszłość, która łączy się z „teraz”
Present Perfect to most między przeszłością a teraźniejszością: liczy się efekt teraz albo to, że coś trwa do dziś. Continuous podkreśla czas trwania.
Zasady
Present Perfect Simple
have / has + III forma
Doświadczenie, efekt teraz, coś trwa do dziś. Nie mówimy „kiedy”.
Present Perfect Continuous
have / has been + -ing
Jak długo coś trwa (i trwa nadal lub właśnie się skończyło — widać skutki).
for / since
for + okres (for 5 years). since + punkt startu (since 2020).

Przykłady
- I've lived in Barcelona for 5 years. — Mieszkam w Barcelonie od 5 lat. (i nadal mieszkam)
- I've just finished the report. — Właśnie skończyłem raport. (efekt: jest gotowy)
- Have you ever been to Japan? — Byłeś kiedyś w Japonii? (doświadczenie życiowe)
- I haven't sent the invoice yet. — Jeszcze nie wysłałem faktury.
- I've been working on this project all week. — Pracuję nad tym projektem cały tydzień. (nacisk na czas trwania)
- You look tired. — I've been running. — Wyglądasz na zmęczonego. — Biegałem. (skutek widać teraz)
Uwaga na błędy
