Zrobiłeś coś, ale niepotrzebnie. (didn't need to = nie musiałeś, więc pewnie nie zrobiłeś)
Przykłady
- She must have forgotten about the meeting. — Musiała zapomnieć o spotkaniu.
- He can't have seen the email. — Na pewno nie widział maila.
- You needn't have brought a gift. — Niepotrzebnie przyniosłeś prezent. (ale miło)
- They might have missed the train. — Być może spóźnili się na pociąg.
- I could have helped you. — Mogłem ci pomóc. (ale nie pomogłem)
- You should have told me. — Powinieneś był mi powiedzieć.
