Gerund vs infinitive
Kiedy -ing, a kiedy to + bezokolicznik
O formie drugiego czasownika decyduje pierwszy. Nie ma tu logiki — to trzeba osłuchać. Jedna żelazna zasada: po przyimku zawsze -ing.
Zasady
czasownik + -ing
I enjoy working.
enjoy, finish, avoid, suggest, consider, mind, miss, give up, keep, imagine, practise, risk
czasownik + to
We decided to wait.
want, decide, plan, hope, promise, agree, refuse, manage, afford, learn, offer, seem, choose, would like
czasownik + osoba + to
I want you to come.
want, ask, tell, allow, help, remind, advise, invite, would like
Obie formy, inne znaczenie
